[比較] allow, permit, let
「공적인 허가」를 나타낼 때는 permit가 쓰이고, allow는 permit보다는 일반적인 어휘로, 「…할 권리를 인정한다, …하는 것을 막지는 않는다」는 뜻으로도 쓰인다. let는 가장 일상적인 어휘로 허가나 동의를 뜻하기도 하지만, 「…을 막을 수가 없었다」는 뜻을 나타내기도 한다.
